7-Jul-2023: Bharat Internet Utsav launched to celebrate Power of Internet
Internet has emerged as an indispensable tool for connectivity, knowledge-sharing and socio-economic development. Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has taken various steps to ensure affordable and high-quality internet in various parts of the country, especially in remote and commercially unviable areas to the citizens through Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF).
Various procedural, structural and legal reforms have been done, leading to faster rollouts resulting over 2.7 lakh 5G sites installed in nine months, almost at the rate of one site per minute, making India among top three 5G ecosystems in the World. The data cost has been reduced to almost Rs.10/GB enabling affordable access of Internet.

6-Jul-2023: World Food India-2023: Roundtable interaction co-chaired by Secretary, DPIIT, and Secretary, MoFPI with agri-food processing companies in New Delhi
With regard to the upcoming World Food India-2023, an investor roundtable interaction was co-chaired by the Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), and the Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries with agri-food processing companies in New Delhi, yesterday. The roundtable witnessed participation from the leading global and Indian food processing companies. During the interaction, the future plans of the participating companies and their prospects of partnerships with MoFPI for the WFI-2023, being organized from 3-5 November, 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, were discussed.

5-Jul-2023: DGCA signs MoU with European Union Aviation Safety Agency for unmanned aircraft systems & Innovative air mobility
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for cooperation in Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Innovative Air Mobility. This MoU will focus on collaboration on unmanned aircraft and innovative air mobility between the two civil aviation authorities.
This collaboration would include cooperation between DGCA and EASA in the areas of development of certification standards and environmental standards and related requirements for the certification and use of unmanned aircraft systems and innovative air mobility operations which includes licensing of personnel, training, air traffic management and infrastructure, including Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM) standards and services.
