18-Jun-2023: IREDA participates in “Intersolar Europe 2023” Exhibition in Munich, engages with global stakeholders to drive transition to a more sustainable future
Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) participated in the three-day "Intersolar Europe 2023" exhibition held in Munich, Germany from 14th to 16th June, 2023. IREDA, a Mini Ratna (Category – I) Government of India enterprise under the administrative control of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, had set up a pavilion at the exhibition to educate visitors about the organization. Visitors to the pavilion had the opportunity to learn about IREDA's initiatives in financing renewable energy projects, promoting energy efficiency, and supporting the growth of renewable energy sector in India. The pavilion also served as a platform for networking and exploring potential business opportunities with IREDA, especially at the crucial time of energy transition and Initial Public Offering (IPO) plan of IREDA.

15-Jun-2023: Rajasthan, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu emerge Top Achievers in Wind Energy Adoption
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India joined the worldwide celebrations of 15th June as Global Wind Day, through the organization of a day-long event in New Delhi today, 15th June, 2023. Held with an intent to celebrate the success so far and discuss the potential ways forward for accelerating wind energy adoption in India, the event had the central theme of “Pawan – Urja: Powering the Future of India”. The celebration featured in-depth discussions on Wind Energy Progress in India, Offshore Wind development, Strengthening of wind energy manufacturing ecosystem and Green Finance for Wind Energy.
Delivering the keynote address, Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Bhupinder Singh Bhalla emphasized that the Government of India is fully committed to achieve the target of 500 GW renewable energy capacity by the year 2030. He applauded the contribution of all states with wind potential, in the development of wind energy sector.
Seafood exports
14-Jun-2023: India’s seafood exports touch an all-time high in FY 2022-23; grow 26.73% in quantity terms and 4.31% in value terms over FY 2021-22
India achieved an all-time high exports of seafood both in terms of volume and value (both US$ and Rupee) by shipping 17,35,286 MT of seafood worth Rs. 63,969.14 crore (US$ 8.09 billion) during FY 2022-23 despite the several challenges in its major export markets like USA.
During the FY 2022-23, the export improved in quantity terms by 26.73%, in rupee terms by 11.08%, in US$ terms by 4.31%. In 2021-22, India had exported 13,69,264 MT of seafood worth Rs 57,586.48 crore (US$ 7,759.58 million).
