1-Feb-2023: 47th Indian Coast Guard Raising Day celebrated

On the occasion of its 47th raising day celebration, ICG announced the installation of a new radar in the Sunderbans area

  • Purpose: Better patrolling and surveillance of the area and guard against any terror activities from across the border

  • ICG's inventory: 158 ships and 78 aircraft
  • Targeted force levels by 2025: 200 surface platforms and 80 aircraft
